The Water Cube, sneak preview






I want to introduce you to The National Aquatics Centre, also known as 'The Water Cube' which will be one of the most exciting new venues to be built for the 2008 Beijing Olympics. The exterior of the building looks a lot like bubble wrap and in actuality was designed to replicate the natural formation of soap bubbles. And even more futuristic the bubbles will be inflated and continuously pumped for the duration of the life of the structure.

As you know my family and I spend a lot of time at swimming pools with "waterboy" who is both a swimmer and water polo player for Ashland High School. But I can assure you we have never seen anything or imagined anything quite like this. China it seems has embraced the word modern and taken it to a whole new dimension. We will be watching from our seats here at Kstyle as this remarkable venue for the 2008 summer Olympics begins to reveal it's view of the future. k

I wanted to personally thank you for your comment as I could totally relate to the issue of finding financial value to blogging. I have recently surrounded myself by incredibly talented people who are very successful ... and through them I am trying to tune in on my passion turning blogging into a part of my way of living, my goal to find a lifestyle where I have the financial freedom and flexibility of feeling like what I do every day as a job. I have also considered teaming up with other talented people who together through a collaborative effort can achieve more than if we were on our own. I know I don't have all the answers to finding how to make a living off blogging or something closely similar but I can tell you that when I do, I can't wait to share with others. I think best part of this blogging thing, is that I have the ability to share with others what I feel is valuable. All the best to you - look forward to bumping into you. to one day feel like what I do every day is no longer a job but a lifestyle ...

I tend to blab a bit - was just excited to find your blog ... apologies if my comment didn't make much sense - the point I was trying to get across is that if you find your passion, all other areas of concern come through - the financial part, is just about how creative you can be to find those solutions or connect yourself with those who are financial experts ... a good finance mentor is always helpful ...

Such a cool structure (but is all that plastic just going into a landfill after?) I'm sooo fascinated by swimming pools, having been a competitive swimmer for years. Has your son seen Nemo33 photos?
