Stylin With Birds & Keeping Time

One of the very first design blogs that introduced me to the whole design blog phenomena was Print and Pattern. Total 100% percent eye candy and my fix today was no exception. Love this "sticker clock" featured today and you can find it at another favorite site Urban Outfitters. adorable, k

Stylin With "Lovebirds", Ann Wood

Ann Wood has done it again. How impossibly cute are these stylin bird cake toppers? Well so cute that my best buddy C ordered a pair for her daughter's upcoming July wedding. I'm going to have some stellar photo ops at this grand affair including a pair of "custom lovebird's" Ann Wood style. stay tuned, k

Stylin With Birds, Amy Bengston

One of my favorite posts here on Kstyle is "stylin with birds" and when I came across this gorgeous line of necklaces by artist Amy Bengston I knew I had yet another "bird" collection for the archives. I love Amy's style. The marriage of textures, the grain of the rosewood and the shiny smoothness of the inlaid pearl. And then the unexpected in the final layer, the engraved design which just tops off an already exquisite piece. Would love to wear one of these. how perfect for spring, k

Tutto Bene, Milan 2007

Well if I can't be there mysel I'm sure happy that a few of my fellow bloggers are having the amazing experience of seeing the Milan Furniture show 2007 up close and personal. I've been following Design Sponges' fabulous posts on the show both on her home blog and on H&G. The most gorgeous birdhouses ever that you see above are from design firm Tutto Bene which I found via Moco Loco. how fabulous are these? k

Stylin With Birds, Figs and Ginger

I love these sterling silver birds by figs and ginger which
I spotted on design sponge awhile back. Just wanted to make
sure you didn't miss this darling line and the rest of the
jewelry is equally fun. Am working with silver myself right
now as I try to line my bead charms so I am really appreciating
what goes into each and everyone of these hand cut birds.
And if you look closely you'll notice that each one is unique
and can be ordered specifically. enjoy, k

I love them which of course is no surprise to readers of kstyle. Spend some time on Ann's amazing sight. the birds are stylin, k

Styling With Birds, Xmas

Here's one more from the "zazillion" collection
of custom stamps at zazzle to get you started in
the holiday spirit. Of course I love the birds but
there are so many to choose from.

Have a great weekend. I'm off to Eugene for
waterboys last H20 polo tournament. But first
I'll leave you with this little tidbit. It's spirit
day at the high school and the boys on the team
decided to wear their speedos over their pants.
Now that would make a picture. Take care and
see you next week. k

Styling With Birds, Dilnot

I'm really loving the work of John Dilnot another vendor at
the Origin show in the UK that just wrapped up. I've got to
figure out a way to get to that next year. An amazing amount
of creativity under one roof. But back to John Dilnot. His work
really defies description. The photo above is actually from one
of his shadow box collections which involves tiny cutout birds
and other natural elements you have to see to believe. So go
here and click on "boxes" to see the owls and woodpeckers and
others. Such an original concept. What do you think? Not sure
they're for everyone or for most spaces but I would love to build
an entire room around just one piece. Perfect for the log cabin on
the river in my dreams. enjoy, k

Styling With Birds, "Origin"

I could have spent all day posting about the
amazing artwork at the UK show Origin which
just wrapped up but if I only had to choose one
collection to share it would be these whimsical
metal sculptures by artist Cathy Miles. As you
know I am crazy about all things birds so it is
completely predictable that I would be over the
top by every single one of these pieces. enjoy, k

As you know by now I have a thing for birds in
just about any medium. These wonderfully stylized
owls are yet another piece in the gorgeous line by
finnstyle. Just had to show you these before we
move on to some other things. Will be entering
decor 8's "work space" contest and need your
help so stay tuned. k
