A "Silver" Lining at Kstyle

So many of my readers and fellow bloggers are also designers or creators so I know you will appreciate it when I tell you that while my new earrings which are now YAY lined with a silver core may look fairly simple they were anything but. Sometimes I really think that clean, simple, edited design is the most difficult to achieve. Why? because every single flaw or imperfection shows. Especially in the eye of the camera. So I am so pleased that I have finally learned how to add this additional layer to my beads and to my jewelry. It wasn't easy and it certainly wasn't cheap but then if it were easy, well you know the answer to that. Oh and I would like to ask you all a desgin question.

In the beads you see above I have blended three colors, navy, green and turquoise. I will be adding more 3 color combinations and I'm curious to know what you would be into keeping in mind that we are headed into spring and summer. My next color combo will probably be a coral, lavender and green. But I'd love to hear from you. What trends do you see coming and or what colors do you personally wear a lot? And those of you out there who visit Kstyle but don't typically comment. Please weigh in. I'd really like to hear from you. Thanks so much. k

I like that. We have a nice palette
of green available and several transparents. It would be fun to do a more monochromatic theme. And just so you all know green is my favorite color. k

Looks like I have my work cut out for me. They all sound awesome. The trick is to add one of the colors as a transparent(like the turquoise in the photo). Adds so much sparkle and energy especially when outside in the light. So for example I could do a green transparent, black solid and white solid. Yum! These earrings look so gorgous on. In lampwork difficult to find clean, contemporary work. Lots of very busy stuff where you can't see the gorgeous glass. Keep the ideas coming. You're really getting my creative juices flowing. Thanks so much. k

I really like these. And I agree that busy and bright is easier to do than simple and sleek. I think you've achieved a great balance.

Hi Karen,

I've seen a lot of yellow as the color for spring & probably summer. I think yellow, gold & beige would look great. What do you think?

The earrings are fabulous! I love your color combo.
I think the first comment is right on the mark. Maybe a grasshopper green, a sage green and a true green.
I've been on a bit of an orange, pink and green kick lately - hop on over to my blog to view this color combo in action.
And yes, perfection is always hard in simplicity as I have also been dealing with lately in all my projecdts!

You DID IT!!! Already, you have fulfilled a NY resolution. Great job. I cannot wait to see the next batch. My vote is a Miami vibe - orange, red and aqua, a la www.nibahome.com

Thank all so much. I love every single one of your ideas. Fantastic. Kerry, when you say dark pink which color are you referring to. The "evil" color or rubino or something else? BTW I'm loving your cubism and roundism beads. Very graphic and clear. k
