Xmas, Emma Rose Style

Hope you all had a wonderful Thanksgiving. We drove through the snow covered mountains to Bend, Oregon and it truly felt like we were driving through a postcard. I just can't get over the fact that next week we will be sitting on the beach in Manzanillo with our toes in the warm sand. So I am going to try post a few fun xmasy items this week like these darling cards by San Francisco company Emma Rose Papery. I love the simple yet playful look, and of course I love the animal theme. k

Push Me Pull You

I'm sure all of you bloggers out there know what's it like when you're surfing blogland, clicking here and there and then suddenly find yourself staring at something wonderful. And then you realize that you have absolutely no idea how you got there! Well I'm embarrassed to tell you how often that happens to me and today was no exception as I found myself on this amazing site called PushMePullYou . There's lots to see here, from screen prints, to cards , to playfully shaped shaped pillows most featuring stylized animals in unexpected company or situations. i love them all, k

Beads + Flowers = Notecards Barlely Style

I was glancing through Michael's website when Isaw these amazing note cards which are so so clever. Now why didn't I think of that. Use my beads as tiny little vases and fill with flowers and then photograph, maybe use a little photoshop magic and poof "something new". I will definitely be ordering some of these because the truth is I can't quite make beads like Michael Barlley. At least not yet any way. k

Felix and Doolittle

I love the edited style of these xmas cards by Felix and
Doolittle. Sometimes less is definitely more. And by now
you probably know that I am a major figure skating fan
so I have to admit I am partial to the last card. And
joy would be just the right word. enjoy, k

Xmas is Going to the Dogs

I'm a total dog lover but very dog deprived right now
so these glorious xmas cards definitely have my name
on them. I love them all although I'm partial to the first
because my last dog was/is Mikey the beagle. My mother
has him now because we couldn't take him with us to
Australia where we lived for a year. Now she'd probably
kill me rather than give him back. In order of appearance
you can find these cards at elum, emma rose papery, r-nichols
via the pink square, and gumps. enjoy, k

Minimalism+whimsy = Little Oranges

I love these fun xmas cards from Little Oranges but
I have to admit that the palm tree theme is a sure
thing for someone who spent three years in mexico
not too long ago. Speaking of which I think I will treat
my readers to some pics of our hacienda in Mexico next
week. We went all out at xmas time and oooh I do miss
the warm balmy days in December and the over the top
entertaining that defined our stay in sunny Mexico.
Nos vemos, k
