Hi everyone. By now most of you know that my middle son is a photojournalist for The Mail Tribune here in Medford, Oregon and just had to share his latest assignment. To say his assignments are diverse is an understatement. But this one has to be my absolute favorite thus far. So to set the stage we have a community pool in Medford (right next to Ashland) which has started a very popular tradition in our neck of the woods. At the end of every summer the Parks and Recreation dept. drain the pool and just for fun and well why not INVITE any and all dogs and their owners to come in and swim for the day as it drains out for the season. So that was the assignment. Go take a picture of dogs having a great day. And if you want to experience pure dog joy just take a look at these pics. gotta love a dog in the water, k

i think that is just the best idea ever!! the doggies get their special day too! why not? they sweat it out all summer just like the rest of us. hehe. and i LOVE the puggy shots!

This is a fabulous idea. I wish they did something like this where I live. I miss Oregon.
